Product Overview
The Hexagonal Socket Cup Point Set Screw features a hex drive at one end and a cup-shaped indentation on the other end. The most commonly used set screws are headless, hex socket drive systems that are driven by hex wrenches or power tools with hexagonal bits. Cup point is the most common point type, with good holding capability. It is commonly used for holding a pulley, gear, or similar parts from turning relative to the shaft. The screw is made up of stainless steel. It is an iron-based alloy that consists of 10.5 percent chromium. The presence of chromium offers corrosion resistance to stainless steel and helps to resist scaling at elevated temperatures. Stainless steel also maintain excellent toughness. This screw is coated with a nylon anti-vibration locking patch. When this patch is coated permanently it increases the prevailing removal torque and allowing the screw to be locked in any position. It is black oxide surface finished to prevent from oil with a vacuum hot-air. In addition, this set screw is easy to use in an automated assembly, and it is rust free.
