The Special Button Head Machine Screw 0.406" x 5/8" is a type of fastener which is used to attach two materials together. The special machine screw is type of button head screw that is flat on top and slightly rounded with short vertical sides. The head has a negative type drive which gives maximum support to the drive. The screw allows more torque to be applied. The base material of the screw is stainless steel, which offers strong physical properties. Stainless steels are iron-based alloys which contains a minimum of chromium of around 10.5%. The presence of chromium offers corrosion resistance to stainless steel and helps to resist scaling at elevated temperatures. Stainless steel also maintains excellent toughness.
